Due to ongoing expansion, the company identified a larger office space in Basingstoke to relocate to suit their current staffing needs with room to grow. After interviewing several companies, we were appointed to create and develop layout designs for the new Basingstoke head office.
Our consultative approach centred around a complete review of the new building, which yielded recommendations to pass back to the landlord to rectify before the relocation. This included faulty air conditioning units and outdated electrical distribution boards, of which the landlord agreed to contribute in excess of £10,000 towards remedying. We were the only company at the bidding stage to highlight these problems to Vincent Gurney.
We worked closely with the two owners of the company to develop a stylish space with feature colours to echo the dynamism of the company. This new space planning and office design were then created as a 3D video “fly-through”, demonstrating flexible hot desking, meeting spaces and a break out space.
Build & Furniture
The office refurbishment was completed within four weeks, with some initial demolition and the ripping out of the existing kitchen. During this process, we managed to repurpose some of the partition glazing, which was incorporated into the new design.
All office interiors were completed included walls, ceilings and carpeting, as well as a new kitchen installation. This whole process also included electrical work, data cabling, lighting and A/V system integration.
We supplied a comprehensive office furniture package including desks, seating and meeting room furniture. This package also encompassed the units and furniture for the kitchen area.
In collaboration with two local companies, eye-catching wall graphics were produced and some doors were finished with a specific dark grey wrap to specification. We also completed the look with new blinds.
We are very happy with the office and would highly recommend Mode 4 to anyone. They were very personable people and kept us updated with everything that was happening. When we first met Steve and his designer Clive at the office we weren’t sure what we wanted to do with the office, we just knew we wanted to open up the space as much as possible and make it an exciting place to work, and they have certainly achieved that.
